NEW FERRARI 12CILINDRI WOWS THE EXPERTS
Ferrari’s latest masterpiece, the 12Cilindri, continues to receive praise since its unveiling earlier this year in Miami. We’ve already told you the details of the new V12-powered coupe and Spider, now we bring you the thoughts from some of the world’s media.
The press has been particularly effusive in regard to the naturally aspirated powertrain.
The UK’s Top Gear called the 12Cilindri a celebration of the increasingly rare V12, writing: “It’s an on-the-nose celebration of Ferrari’s signature dish: a big V12. A mighty 6.5-litre orchestral instrument, mounted way behind the front axle under a gigantic clamshell ‘cofango’ bonnet designed to showcase the engine bay more dramatically than the 812 Superfast or F12.”
Closer to home, Wheels’ Alex Inwood noted the stylish lines of the new model as a major departure from its predecessors, and complimented the Spiders variation in design.
“A Spider version was also revealed… 0-100kmh takes 2.95 seconds, while 200km/h takes 8.2sec. Happily, the top speed is the same which should do wonders to your hair when the roof is down.”
